Johan Joubert, owner and founder of JBM steel open the doors to his new business on 1 March 1987.
With great vision and success JBM expanded with two more lots later that year.

Then in 1991 JBM expanded once more, where JBM Metals & Castings are now situated and warehouses was built on new lots bought in 1994.
